Things to do in and around the park

  • There's plenty to do at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park including
    • Visit the ArcelorMittal Orbit. It has a stunning viewing platform and if you’re brave enough you can ride the 178m slide down or even abseil. 
    • Take a Blue Badge Park Tour
    • Swim in the London Aquatics Centre
    • Cycle in the Lee Valley VeloPark
    • Take a boat tour
  • Shop in Westfield Stratford, one of Europe's biggest shopping centres with over 250 stores.  
  • Make sure to visit Hero Village before entering the stadium, a fan village full of athletic themed activities, events and sponsor displays specially built for the Championships. And most importantly, this is where you’ll find Medal Plaza – this unique location will be where the triumphant medalists will be receiving their medals and you’re free to go and watch and cheer them on!(There will be security searches on entrance to Hero Village)
    Hero Village will be open 90mins before the advertised session start time. You can enter it BEFORE coming over the bridges (ticket/security check) to the venue. But please allow enough time leaving Hero Village to pass through security and take your seat in good time for the session starting.

  • There are 5 bridges in the park that lead to different entrances into the stadium. Check your ticket for your bridge number and follow the corresponding walking route on the map below. 


Things to do near the park

Take advantage of the summer with a walk around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and marvel at the venues made famous by the London 2012 Games, including the nearby VeloPark and Aquatics Centre. Admire the views 80m (262ft) up from the ArcelorMittal Orbit sculpture and whizz down its 178-metre (584ft) slide. You’ll also find Europe’s largest shopping mall, Westfield Stratford City close by, with 250 shops, 70 eateries, a 17-screen multiplex cinema and a bowling alley!
